I know it has been awhile since I have posted. I was waiting until I had some positive news. I didn't want to be a pessimist. SO, I just received word that our file has been moved from the MFA (and that sounds like a bad word, but really it stands for Ministry of Foreign Affairs) to the MOE (which stands for Ministry of Education). This is a GOOD thing. In the past, it has taken about two weeks for people to receive a LOI (letter of invitation to travel), but we aren't sure if that will be the case for us or not. All I know is that our file is on the move and that is a very good thing. We aren't quite movin' East yet, but we are making strides in the right direction. I even got a tear or two in my eyes when I got the email this morning that our file moved on. You know, I can't cry, my students would think that I am even crazier than normal :-) Also, this was just the news that I needed, as I have been dealing with a lot of other issues this week. The timing for travel would be just about perfect if we could leave right at the end of the school year. So, please continue to keep us in your prayers and thoughts, and please pray for the officials in Kazakhstan. We continue to trust in the Lord and wait on His timing. This, I think, has been the biggest lesson for this Type A personality (Lonnie adjusts to the bumps in the road a whole lot better than I do :-)
Prayerfully,
Pam
