Priviet (Hi)
Yeah, our interview with the Ministry of Education went well. We are one step closer to bringing Marina home :-) As far as we know, our court date is holding at August 7. We are hoping that it will remain that date and go as well as our interview today.
We missed our morning visit with Munchkin cause of the Ministry interview. We got a chance to go grocery shopping after our interview, which is fun to get out and about. Poor mom was stuck in the hotel during all of this, and everything was rearranged and cleaned, again, until we got back (and, yes, the hotel staff does clean the room everyday :-) We did get our evening visit wtih Marina. We fed her and took her for a very long walk. She loves to be outside and just hangs out in the snugli and makes happy faces. Our driver comes up to talk to Marina and says she is beautiful and makes chubby cheeks signs at her. We laugh and agree.
They brought a photographer in to take Marina's passport photo, she is smiling and looks funny. It is quite difficult to sit a 7 month old on a chair and try to get her not to squirm so that they can get a good photo. They also took a family picture for the court and embassy. Lonnie also got to purchase his flight ticket from Karaganda to Almaty......mom and I are way jealous.
Our interpretor ordered Pizza Hut pizza for us tonight. We are hoping it tastes like the American version. We are getting together with two other adoptive families. It is our night "out" (on the second floor of the hotel). Mom even had to primp for her big night out. Not that Lonnie and I laughed or anything. Lonnie and mom are having wine with their pizza...quite the combination. But, no one has to be a designated driver, as we just have to walk up one flight of stairs. And, me, I will take my handy dandy water bottle. :-)
Well, I guess that is all for today. Thank you all for your supportive comments and prayers sent on our behalf. We are all every so grateful.
lots of love from all of us,
Pam, Lonnie, and Sharon

Hi Pam,
Ang gave me your blog to see pictures of Marina. She is really cute! Congratulations! I hope everything continues to go well until you get her home.

Just wanted to share with you that my mom says that Marina is absolutely beautiful and she keeps you in her daily prayers. I printed out some photos for Sammy and Kass to see -- both think she is cute (pretty, I believe was Papa's word). Papa is doing okay in the home -- he is a little lonely but meeting some people to talk to and of course the family gets in to see him as often as we can. Randy and Amy had a baby boy, Owen Michael on July 13th, right before you departed. That's all the news I have from here. Good luck in court and I hope the pizza was GOOD!!
